MedRhythms is a leading digital therapeutics company with a focus on developing and launching FDA-cleared prescription products that improve patients’ mobility. MedRhythms' initial product, the MedRhythms Stride, uses music, sensors, and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve walking in patients who have suffered a stroke. MedRhythms plans to launch its products through partnerships to provide better outcomes for patients, data and insights for clinicians and partners, and more cost-effective solutions for payers.
MedRhythms plans to launch the Stride product in 2019. The Company seeks to hire a QA Engineer to join the team to coordinate testing efforts and to ensure software quality.
The QA Engineer would be a creative problem solver, with experience leading and/or coordinating software testing strategy. They will be a key part of the software development team and will work closely with the developers to coordinate and implement manual and automated software tests.
The position is based at the MedRhythms HQ in Portland, ME.
Lead the development and implementation of testing strategy for MedRhythms products
Work with development team to identify and document product requirements
Write test plans according to validation and verification standards defined in MedRhythms quality management system
Work with the development team to ensure adequate test coverage
Work with QMS lead to capture testing plans, procedures, and results in the MedRhythms quality management system for regulatory compliance purposes
Execute manual and automated tests as needed for new software and regression testing
Work with security and HIPAA leads to help implement tests for those areas as needed
Document product defects as they are found by testing efforts
Minimum 3-5 years of QA experience
Experience leading and developing overall testing strategy for software products
Experience writing and maintaining automated tests
Experience with test case management tools
Experience with bug tracking and wiki tools (Jira and Confluence experience a plus)
Experience with Agile and scrum processes
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications and SKills
Experience testing APIs and using API tools such as Postman
Experience testing regulated healthcare products and/or software
Experience with accessibility testing
Experience with SQL databases
