President of MedRhythms Added to the World Health Organization’s Roster of Experts on Digital Health

PORTLAND, Maine - MedRhythms, a Portland, Maine-based digital therapeutics Company, announced that Owen McCarthy, President and Co-Founder, has been added to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Roster of Experts on Digital Health. This roster is intended to provide relevant industry guidance to WHO’s new Digital Health Department.

"The attention that the World Health Organization is directing toward digital health is going to have a huge impact on the industry and the lives of millions."

WHO is “the directing and coordinating authority on international health within the United Nations system,” and the Digital Health Department is dedicated to applying digital health solutions to global public health issues. This department is a product of WHO’s belief that scalable, software-based, data-driven healthcare tools have the potential to positively influence global health outcomes.
